Tickets Have Been Purchased!!!

So much has happened since our last blog post, first and foremost being that we have booked our airline tickets to Cape Town!!! We are due to leave on January 11th however we are still unsure of how long we will be able to remain in South Africa as we have yet to raise enough support to stay the entire 7 months we have been projecting.
Thank you all for coming out to our Benefit Concert this past Saturday Night it was a great time and Amy and I thoroughly enjoyed your presence. Unfortunately, we did not get quite as big a turn out as we were hoping for and while it did raise $1,600 dollars, we now find ourselves approximately $5,000+(Numbers being Tallied) short of the support necessary to remain in South Africa 6-7 months.
We are currently in communication with several local churches making plans to go and speak to congregations and set up information tables in order to raise this final amount.
Please be praying that God provides the financial resources necessary for our trip so that we can have the most influence for His name while we are there. Finally, a more recent development concerns the support we will need for daily living... gas... hygiene etc. Originally we assumed we could receive that support via the Crossroads Living Hope South Africa Fund however, due in part to the fact that those donations are tax deductible in order for them to be distributed directly to us we would need to be employees of Crossroads Church and as such pay the respective taxes on those funds or paychecks as they would be viewed, thereby requiring us to raise additional support to pay the taxes. So what we are asking is that if having your support be tax deductible is not important to you, still mail your check to the above address but make it payable to either myself or Amy so that we may deposit it in a private trip bank account. Thank You Sooo Much!!!
Sorry this post is so long but there was a lot to be said. Hopefully so much time will not elapse between this post and the next.
